Materials and finishes

A rigid box is defined as much by its surface as its structure. Wrap material affects color, texture, print quality, edge detail and how the box feels in the hand.

Wraps

Choose from smooth, textured, embossed or fully printed wraps. Material availability and production suitability are confirmed for each project.

  • Smooth uncoated paper

An even, uncoated surface. The most predictable ground for full-coverage print, fine rules and small type.

  • Textured paper

Fiber-rich papers with a visible tooth. Holds blind emboss and deboss; ink sits into the sheet.

  • Embossed paper

A shallow, regular embossed grain with a matte finish. Foil registers cleanly across it.

  • Printed paper

A fully printed wrap, offset or digital, supplied from your artwork. Coverage, color and finish are proofed before production.

  • Fabric and specialty materials

Available subject to specification. Confirmed with the quote.

Printing and finishing

Available processes include offset or digital printing, foil stamping, embossing, debossing, interior printing and contrasting interior wraps.

Interiors

The inside of the box can continue the exterior material, introduce a contrasting wrap or be developed around a product-specific insert.

Color and sample approval

On-screen color is approximate. Final color and texture should be approved from a physical sample before production.
